• If you have missing or badly damaged teeth, dentures might be the answer for you to help restore your smile.

Dentures are removable, custom-made artificial teeth and gums, designed to replace missing teeth and restore functionality for eating and speaking.  Due to advances in dentistry, dentures are more natural looking and comfortable than ever before.

Depending on your situation, you may need either partial or complete dentures.  Partial dentures fill in the gaps between a missing tooth or teeth.  If you no longer have any natural teeth, complete dentures replace all of your teeth and their adjacent tissues.

    Caring For Your Dentures

    • Each day, remove and brush your dentures carefully.  Using a soft-bristled toothbrush, gently and thoroughly brush your dentures to loosen and remove bacteria, food particles and plaque.  Be sure to remove a partial denture before brushing your natural teeth.

    • Do not clean or sterilize your dentures in boiling water, or damage to the denture is likely to occur.

    • When you’re not wearing your dentures, soak them in a proper cleansing solution or water.

    • Keep the dentures in a safe place, out of the reach of children and pets.

    • See your dentist regularly.  It is important to maintain a proper fit for your dentures.  If you are experiencing soreness, let your dentist know right away so they can examine your mouth and make the necessary adjustments to your dentures to restore your comfort.
