Teacher Appreciation Day
While we navigate this unprecedented period of being sheltered at home, teachers everywhere are working so hard to make sure our kids keep learning, stay engaged and continue to grow.
Our children may not physically be sitting in a classroom each day, but most are in virtual classrooms daily with new opportunities to expand their minds.
The influence of a good teacher can never be erased.
While we may not be able to deliver a box of chocolates or a bouquet of flowers to say, “Thanks!” for all that our teachers do, there are still ways we can show our appreciation!
Here are a few ides of things you can do to help the teachers in your life feel appreciated during Teacher Appreciation Week.
- Digital Gift Cards – Coffee, Netflix, Hulu, DoorDash, iTunes, Amazon, Target (just to name a few)
- Write a nice thank you note and mail it.
- Arrange a car parade by your teacher’s house.
- Record a video message and e-mail it.
- Share a favorite photo of your teacher or dress-up like your teacher.
- Draw a picture, write a poem or sing a song.
- Use sidewalk chalk to share a message, then take a picture and send it. If you are able, decorate in front of their classroom door.
Please take a moment to say thanks to the unsung heroes in your life.
