Remember and Honor
Memorial Day Flag Etiquette
At sunrise, flags are to be raised to full staff briskly, then lowered to half staff position where they will remain until noon. The flag is flown at half staff as a memorial for those who gave their lives serving their country.
At noon, flags are to be raised to full-staff and will be displayed there for the remainder of the holiday. The flag is raised to its peak to salute current and living members of the United States Armed Forces. It signifies that our nation lives and our country is resolved not to let their sacrifice be in vain, but to continue to fight for liberty and justice for all.
