    Spring Cleaning Your Teeth

Spring is officially here and with it comes new beginnings!

At this time of year, so many of us purge our winter clothes, deep clean our homes, start our vegetable gardens and even assess our finances!  As you’re mentally and physically cleaning things out, don’t forget to refresh your dental habits as well.

Did you make any dental-related New Year’s Resolutions?  If so, now is a good time to check your progress and re-set goals if you need to.  It is never too late!

When was the last time your replaced your toothbrush?  As a general guide, it is a good idea to replace your toothbrush about every three months, or after an illness.  If you haven’t done so recently, now is a good time.

Are your supplies getting low?  Floss? Mouthwash? Toothpaste?  Make a list of those items you need so you can pick them up next time you stop by the store.

When was the last time you were at the dentist?  Have the holidays taken a toll on your teeth?  A quick visit to the dentist could prevent the need for more intensive treatment later on.

Start spring off right with these few simple habits, your smile will thank you!
